Commercial Accountant – Plastics Industry – R650K – R500K Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client is a Manufacturing Company is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Accountant to join their team in Pinetown, KZN. As a Commercial Accountant, the successful will play a key role in managing financial processes and providing accurate financial information to support decision making within the organization. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards, analyzing financial data, and providing financial insights to stakeholders. Responsibilities:

• Assisting Divisional Executive with cost and sales analysis and reports
• Preparing forecasting estimates and variance analysis
• Preparation and analysis of various monthly Sales Reports and Sales Estimates
• Preparation of Costings and Maintaining all costing data on the system
• Analyzing data and costings for cost saving initiatives
• To drive each change through to completion with the aid of the various departments
• Use knowledge and experience to challenge data where necessary
• Review costings of all products and be able to determine pricing for all Sales related queries
• Preparation and Analysis of quarterly pricing data bases
• Maintaining accurate gross margin records and reconciling to monthly income statements issued by the finance department
• Month end schedules and reports on various costs, margins etc
• Preparation of and continuous improvements on key management statistics in the business
• Preparation of annual budgets, ad hoc tenders and new product launch documents
• Helping the Divisional Executive and Financial Exec with ad hoc assignments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• +5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in an accounting or production environment
• Manufacturing cost accounting will be advantageous
• SAP experience will be advantageous
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft office
