In-House Channel Controller Full Time

RPO’s client is actively seeking an experienced In-House Channel Controller to join their team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented freight and logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in air and sea freight operations. This is a full-time, onsite position.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage end-to-end freight operations (Air & Sea – Imports and Exports).
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
• Prepare and submit documentation for customs clearance.
• Ensure all freight shipments comply with customs regulations and procedures.
• Maintain daily status reports and communicate delivery updates.
• Resolve delivery or freight-related issues quickly and effectively.
• Serve as liaison between freight forwarder and client to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in freight forwarding or logistics (Air & Sea).
• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Own transport is essential.
• Strong knowledge of tariffs, Incoterms, rates, and shipping documentation.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
• High proficiency in Excel and general computer literacy.
• Ability to multitask and handle a high-pressure environment.
