RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for a Quality Manager to join their team in Heidelberg, Gauteng.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control within the meat processing or abattoir industry, ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee quality control processes across all stages of meat production
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, etc.)
Conduct internal audits and manage external audit processes
Implement and maintain quality management systems
Train and supervise staff on quality standards and hygiene practices
Manage non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure certification requirements are met
Requirements:
Relevant degree or diploma in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field
Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in an abattoir or meat processing environment
Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations
Experience with audits, inspections, and quality system implementation
Excellent communication and leadership skills
