Quality Control Manager – Chemistry & Microbiology Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established FMCG company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager specializing in Chemistry & Microbiology. As the Quality Control Manager, you will ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of products through effective management of the Chemistry and Microbiology laboratories. You will be responsible for overseeing analytical testing, method validation, equipment qualification, and documentation review.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the operations of the Chemistry and Microbiology laboratories
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and other relevant regulations and guidelines
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols
• Perform method validation and verification for analytical procedures
• Lead investigations into out-of-specification results and implement corrective actions
• Ensure timely completion of analytical testing for materials, intermediate, and finished products
• Review and approve laboratory documentation, including test methods, specifications, and reports
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to laboratory staff
• Participate in internal and external audits and inspections

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Quality Control role within the FMCG industry
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA regulations, and industry best practices
• Experience with analytical testing methods and instrument qualification
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Salary: R950k – R850k per annum
