We are actively seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to join our client’s team based in Observatory, Cape Town. Responsibilities
Manage daily production planning and control to meet targets and timelines
Oversee stock control procedures and ensure accurate inventory tracking
Lead, motivate, and manage performance and conduct of factory employees
Ensure factory organisation according to 5S methodology
Identify, analyse, and resolve production issues promptly
Manage and improve Standard Minute Values (SMVs)
Ensure the ERP system is updated and aligned with production activities
Enforce health & safety and quality standards compliance across production operations
Prepare and submit daily and monthly production performance reports
Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) certificate
National Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar production management role
Experience in the FMCG industry is essential
Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Assertive leadership with the ability to manage a team effectively
Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel at a professional level
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to work shifts when required
