A leading metal recycling and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Regional Security Manager to join their team in Rustivia, Germiston. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing security operations across Gauteng and Mpumalanga, ensuring the protection of company assets, effective risk management, and compliance with all relevant legislation and security protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership ability, extensive security management experience, and a proactive approach to operational security.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee asset protection initiatives and implement effective risk management strategies to prevent theft and fraud.
• Manage and optimize security operations across Gauteng and Mpumalanga facilities.
• Supervise internal security teams and external security service providers.
• Investigate security incidents, breaches, and emergencies, ensuring detailed reporting and corrective action implementation.
• Monitor and maintain the effectiveness of security systems and equipment, including CCTV infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with company security procedures, protocols, and relevant legislation.
• Manage and monitor security-related budgets and implement cost-effective security solutions.
• Liaise with SAPS, management, and third-party stakeholders regarding security matters and investigations.
• Handle administrative functions related to security operations, including reporting and license compliance.
• Ensure Second-Hand Goods licenses remain valid, compliant, and correctly displayed.
Requirements:
• PSIRA Grade A registration (compulsory).
• Minimum of 6 years’ senior managerial experience within security operations.
• Tertiary qualification in Security Management or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
• Experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of risk identification, investigations, CCTV monitoring, and report writing.
• Sound understanding of the Second-Hand Goods Act 6 of 2009 and other relevant legislation.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
