Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a creative and experienced New Product Developer to join our client’s team in the Food Production Industry. As a New Product Developer, you will be responsible for developing and launching new food products that meet market demands and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end product development process from concept ideation to commercialization
- Conduct market research and consumer insights analysis to identify new product opportunities
- Develop product concepts and formulations that align with target market preferences and company objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Purchasing, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure successful product launches
- Create and maintain detailed product specifications and documentation
- Conduct sensory evaluations and product testing to ensure quality and consistency
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities
- Work closely with suppliers and external partners to source and evaluate ingredients and packaging materials
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
- Manage project timelines and budgets to meet project goals and deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in new product development in the Food Production Industry
- Extensive knowledge of food ingredients, formulations, and food processing techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards
- Experience conducting market research and consumer insights analysis
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and product development software
