RPO Recruitment’s client, in the food manufacturing industry, are seeking a passionate and innovative Junior Product Developer to join their team in Benoni. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in food manufacturing and product development, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the senior product development team to assist in developing new food products from concept to launch
• Conduct research on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products
• Assist in creating and testing new recipes and formulations
• Participate in sensory evaluations and product testing to ensure quality and consistency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and quality assurance, to bring products to market
• Assist in managing product testing and validation processes
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations in food manufacturing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or related field
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or product development role is preferred but not required
• Strong passion for food and creativity in developing new products
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
