RPO Recruitment is seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join our client’s team in Franschhoek. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on individual to take ownership of the maintenance function in a high-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations for the facility, equipment, and infrastructure
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
Respond promptly to breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime
Manage service providers, contractors, and maintenance staff
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, costs, and inventory
Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of equipment and premises
Procure parts, tools, and maintenance supplies as needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) certificate
Relevant technical qualification or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facility Management
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a maintenance or technical coordination role
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and general building systems
Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems efficiently
Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance software systems
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
