Program & Fundraising Manager Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s Client is looking for candidates to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This position is a Program & Fundraising Manager, you will design, implement, and oversee sustainability programs and projects that align with organizational goals. You will also develop and monitor project plans, budgets, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure program success.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Proven experience (5 years+) in program management, grant writing and fundraising, Interest in and motivation to do Business Development
• Demonstrated success in securing funding through grants and partnerships
• Proficient in donor management systems, grant portals, project management tools, work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
• Strong existing South African and international network
• Business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to work independently and a drive to create new opportunities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, relationship-building and networking abilities
• Knowledge of sustainability principles, environmental issues, and climate change initiatives
• Fluent in English. Ability to work in Spanish or French will be a big plus

Responsibilities:

Program Management

• Design, implement, and oversee sustainability programs and projects that align with organizational goals.
• Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure program success.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful and innovative initiatives.
• Conduct research and analysis to inform program strategies and decision-making.

• Build and sustain partnerships with key stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies, private sector organizations, and community groups. 
• Facilitate coalition meetings, workshops, and other collaborative efforts to align goals and actions.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and donors, funders, and other partners.

Fundraising and Grant Writing

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including grant applications, corporate
• sponsorships, and individual giving campaigns.
• Research and identify prospective funding opportunities that align with organizational goals.
• Write and submit compelling grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines and deadlines.
• Maintain detailed records of grant submissions, reporting deadlines, and donor communications.
• Prepare reports and updates for donors and stakeholders to demonstrate impact and accountability.

Strategic Leadership

• Collaborate with leadership to align sustainability programs with the organization’s overall mission and
• strategic objectives.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in sustainability and fundraising.
• Represent the organization at conferences, events, and meetings to increase visibility and influence.
