New Product Developer Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a talented New Product Developer with baking experience to join our client’s team in Kommetjie. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative professional with a passion for baking and product development to lead the creation of new products in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

• Research market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for new baked goods and related products.
• Develop and refine recipes, product concepts, designs, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and manufacturing, to bring products to life.
• Conduct product testing, including taste and texture analysis, and ensure compliance with food safety and industry standards.
• Source and test new ingredients and materials to enhance product offerings.
• Manage timelines and budgets to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
• Present product ideas and progress updates to stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in baking techniques, materials, and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Product Development, Baking, or a related field.
• Proven experience in new product development with a strong focus on baked goods.
• Proficiency in recipe formulation and baking techniques.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and food production standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for baking and innovation.
