Operations Manager Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, with a proven track record of delivering results and managing a diverse team of employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring all production targets are met and quality standards are maintained
• Manage and lead a team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and quality control measures
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and supply chain, to coordinate production schedules and meet customer demands
• Manage budgetary and financial responsibilities, including controlling production costs, labor expenses, and operational expenditures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
• Proven track record of achieving production targets, improving efficiencies, and implementing operational best practices
• Knowledge of quality control standards, health and safety regulations, and food safety requirements
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
