Job Summary:
RPO Recruitment’s client are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join their team at a food manufacturing facility in Olifantsfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various machinery and equipment within the plant to ensure efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, including conveyors, packaging machines, and refrigeration systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and make necessary repairs
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to meet production requirements and quality standards
• Assist in the planning and execution of equipment upgrades and installations
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to maximize efficiency and productivity

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification as a Millwright or similar technical qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies
