Conveyor Belt Maintenance Supervisor Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Conveyor Belt Maintenance Supervisor to join our client’s team in Roodepoort. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of conveyor belt systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of conveyor belt systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement timely repairs.
• Supervise and guide a team of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient operation.
• Replace or repair faulty components to minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules and completed work.
• Source and order necessary parts and materials for repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field is an advantage).
• Proven experience as a Conveyor Belt Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of conveyor belt systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
