Field Service Technician – Limpopo Steelpoort Full Time

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Field Service Technician to join our client’s team in Limpopo Steelpoort. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic technical team, providing critical maintenance and installation support on heavy-duty equipment and machinery. If you have hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and enjoy working in the field, we’d like to connect with you.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient mechanical service through effective maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment
• Conduct and oversee pre-use inspections to ensure safe operation and compliance with company procedures and Codes of Practice (COP)
• Ensure all maintenance and repair tasks are documented and completed in accordance with general standards and procedures
• Promote and maintain good housekeeping and environmental practices
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Mine Health and Safety Act – responsible for own safety and that of others
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates
• Plan and manage spare parts and fuel requirements using the ordering system to ensure availability

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Test – 26D
• Proof of Apprenticeship (All 3 Phases Signed Off)
• Matric Certificate
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
• Hydraulic experience
• Experience working on Deutz, Cummins, John Deere, CAT and similar engines for heavy-duty equipment and vehicles
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and Afrikaans
