Blow Moulder Technician Full Time

An industry-leading client of ours is looking for an experienced Blow Moulder Technician to join their team of professionals.

Minimum Qualification (Red seal Trade Test Olifantsfontein)

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Qualified Electrician
• Qualified Millwright
• A diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be advantages

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 2-5 years of previous Blow moulding process experience is required.
• Proficient skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic are necessary.
• Strong mechanical abilities & knowledge- preferably in the Plastics Industry, with experience in Blow Moulding
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; very detail-oriented
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong communication skills interacting with all levels of a company’s hierarchy.
• General experience in control systems, and/or equivalent hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience
• Troubleshooting attitude and focus on correct working practices.
• Knowledge of PLC controls and in industrial automated systems
• Your initiative, team spirit, and time management abilities enable you to deal with multiple priorities in a timely and proactive manner.
• Some experience in field service and blow moulding would be considered an asset.
• Additional language skills would be considered an asset.

• Knowledge of Injection and plastic moulding
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Ability to fault find using various techniques, to achieve systemic methods of problem-solving

• Work well as part of a team, willing to learn and share knowledge.
• Ability to self-manage and manage small teams during planned work.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems.
• Ability to write technical reports and compile audits- Detailed and accurate.
• Have the ability to be an ambassador for your company and promote the company’s products.
• The Ability to handle conflict in a professional way.
• Traveling regularly to our customers, nationally and Internationally (up to 75% travel), you will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, and installing, or upgrading all products.
• You will help our customers optimize their operations with onsite training and follow-up visits
• You will be responsible for the execution and follow-up of your customer visits, creating detailed reports and offering advice to promote products and services
• You should be a self-starter that understands the importance of customer satisfaction and can be an ambassador for our strong core values
