Job Summary:
RPO Recruitment’s client, in the fashion industry, are seeking a talented and experienced Womenswear Fashion Designer to join their team at their retail store in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for trends, strong design skills, and a passion for creating unique and stylish clothing and accessories.

Responsibilities:

• Research current fashion trends and develop new design concepts
• Create sketches and designs for clothing, accessories, and other fashion products
• Select fabrics, colors, and patterns for each collection
• Collaborate with the product development team to bring designs to life
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings
• Attend fashion shows, trade shows, and other industry events for inspiration
• Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are produced accurately and on time

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer in a retail setting
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative and innovative designs
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of garment construction and production processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• A passion for fashion and a strong understanding of current trends
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in a retail setting
