Assistant Technical Manager Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Assistant Technical Manager to join our client’s team in Gauteng. Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and overseeing all technical aspects of food production, including equipment maintenance and process improvements.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure all machinery and equipment operate efficiently.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to technical and operational standards.
• Assist in managing technical staff, providing training, and ensuring effective team collaboration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, repairs, and technical procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).
• Proven experience in a technical or maintenance role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems used in food processing.
• Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving in a production environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
