Seasoned Millwright Full Time

An industry-leading client of ours is looking for an experienced Seasoned Millwright to join their team of professionals.

KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

• Manage maintenance in the area, and lead the implementation. Support the production artisans and ensure adherence to good maintenance principles.
• Liase with OEM around best maintenance practices. Must have good knowledge and maintenance experience on Coater, Printer, Press, Sacmi PMC 250 to 500
• Through the training controller, engineering team leader and shift team leaders, ensure the development of required maintenance competencies within the production artisans.
• Provide specialist maintenance guidance and advice to production artisans on maintenance practices.
• Lead and ensure reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) techniques are incorporated into all CAPEX projects.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance assessments on all plant equipment and implement corrective actions.
• Address problems related to maintenance practices with engineering and production team leaders and lead the implementation of corrective action.
• Adhere to engineering MCRS.
• Maintenance Cost Management: Control allocated budget and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Coaching and mentoring production artisans and assisting in problem-solving.
• Develop and document SWIs for all new equipment processes and collaborate training as SMEs (subject matter experts) with the training controller to ensure all production artisans are trained and signed off.  
• Conduct routine assessments on plant equipment, and create, plan, and execute corrective maintenance.
• Where assessments highlight problems, the asset owner must ensure resolution.
• Lead intervention and plant equipment upgrades.  
• Coordinate and manage any contractors and verify that work carried out is in accordance with good maintenance practices.
• Monitor, assess, and evaluate the condition and where required introduce corrective actions.
• Lead Problem Solving. Where problems have occurred during routine activities, apply the correct problems solving approach to resolve them.
• Where required call in additional resources to assist in problems solving or escalate to the engineering team leader for direction.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Qualified Millwrights/ Fitter & Turners
• Sound technical background with strong long and short-term planning ability.
• Experience in PRAGMA and knowledge of creating and closing works orders on the system
• Experience in developing, training, and implementing SWIs
• This role is a dayshift position with telephonic after-hours assistance required when necessary.
