Job summary:

RPO Recruitment’s client are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality & Food Safety Administrator to join their food manufacturing company in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet safety and quality standards, and that all relevant regulations are adhered to. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor the company’s food safety and quality management systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Investigate and resolve any quality or safety issues that may arise.
• Develop and implement food safety and quality control procedures.
• Provide training to staff on food safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all quality and safety inspections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards are met.
• Stay current on industry trends and changes in food safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control or food safety role in a manufacturing environment.
• HACCP certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Experience with auditing and compliance procedures.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
