Operations Supervisor – Durban Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our client’s team in Durban. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee and optimize warehouse operations within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely restocking
• Supervise and support the operations team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports on warehouse activities
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Matric (Grade 12).
• Completed or currently obtaining qualification in Production Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred. NQF Level 4
• At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in supervising people, including scheduling, time & attendance, and performance management, driving output and achieving targets
• Has a strong understanding of converting machines. the mechanics, capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, systems, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and production management software.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and adjust to changing production demands.
• Strong Understanding of health, safety, and quality control regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in addressing production issues.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
