Motor Repair Technician – KZN Full Time

RPO Recruitment is seeking a skilled Motor Repair Technician to join our client’s team in KZN. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to apply their mechanical expertise in motor repairs, working with AC, DC, and Servo motors in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:

• Mechanically strip and repair AC, DC, and Servo motors
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs with minimal downtime
• Apply basic electrical principles to troubleshoot motor issues
• Use hand tools effectively and safely for disassembly and reassembly
• Operate bearing pullers and hydraulic presses to remove and install components
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance

Requirements:

• Proven experience in mechanically stripping motors (AC, DC & Servo preferred)
• Basic knowledge of electrical motor principles
• Proficiency in using hand tools, bearing pullers, and hydraulic presses
• Experience working in Armature Winders is highly desirable, but skilled Millwrights with relevant experience will also be considered
• Valid driver’s license (own vehicle is advantageous)
• Must be based in KZN (no relocations)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
