We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance activities at our client’s chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of chemical processes and equipment, as well as strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery within the facility, including reactors, pumps, mixers, and instrumentation
– Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment
– Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
– Work closely with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including hazardous waste management and handling procedures
– Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance needs
– Monitor and report on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and inventory levels
– Participate in plant safety audits and incident investigations as needed
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
– 5+ years of experience in maintenance management within a chemical manufacturing environment
– Strong knowledge of chemical processes and equipment, including pumps, valves, reactors, and instrumentation
– Experience with preventative maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance practices
– Excellent leadership and communication skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
– Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Knowledge of safety regulations and hazardous materials handling procedures
