RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Setter to join our client, in Philippi, Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to ensure optimal machine settings, conduct fault analysis, and maintain production equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:
Identify, report, and rectify technical issues on assigned production equipment, including molds and machinery.
Ensure machines are correctly set for optimal performance and cycle times.
Conduct fault analysis and problem-solving for product quality issues, mold issues, and mechanical malfunctions (hydraulic, pneumatic, electric).
Develop and follow maintenance plans to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
Identify and report spare parts requirements and assist in ordering processes.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, repairs, and machine settings.
Work closely with Maintenance and Production Managers to ensure machine availability and efficiency.
Uphold health and safety standards and maintain housekeeping in the work area.
Contribute to process improvements and technical innovation within the company.
Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
Minimum N2 in Tool, Jig & Die trade theory.
Trade-tested (Red Seal) qualification preferred.
At least 5 years of relevant setting experience in an injection molding/blow molding environment.
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Effective troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
Ability to act decisively and maintain standards in a fast-paced environment.
