Health & Safety Officer – Packaging & Plastics Full Time

RPO Recruitment is collaborating with a leading packaging and plastics company, seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to join their team. As a Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and promoting a safe working environment in the packaging and plastics industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
• Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective measures
• Provide safety training and education to employees
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety
• Participate in safety committee meetings and assist in developing safety initiatives
• Stay updated on industry best practices and new developments in health and safety

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Health & Safety Officer in the packaging and plastics industry
• Relevant certification in health and safety management
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Proficient in conducting risk assessments and safety inspections
• Ability to handle and resolve safety-related issues effectively
