Legal Advisor Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for a Legal Advisor to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will provide legal, compliance, and corporate governance support, ensuring regulatory adherence and mitigating legal risks.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including statutory filings.
• Oversee litigation processes and collaborate with external counsel.
• Support board meeting planning, agenda preparation, and document circulation.
• Keep abreast of relevant legal and governance updates.

Requirements:

• LLB degree and admitted legal practitioner.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Strong knowledge of governance frameworks (Companies Act, Consumer Protection Act, King IV, JSE regulations).
• Experience in compliance, corporate secretarial work, and regulatory submissions.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
