Job Title: Distribution Manager

RPO Recruitment’s client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Manager to join their manufacturing company in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the distribution of our products in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement distribution strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers
• Manage and optimize distribution network to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
• Monitor and analyze distribution metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and smooth operations
• Negotiate contracts with third-party logistics providers and transportation companies
• Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal levels and minimize excess stock
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards in distribution processes
• Train and mentor distribution team members to enhance their skills and performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution management, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful distribution strategies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing distribution operations

Salary: negotiable.
