Buyer – Electrical Industry – Midrand Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Buyer to join our client’s team in Midrand. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to take on the responsibility of managing procurement activities, sourcing quality materials, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing within a dynamic electrical company. Responsibilities

• Source and procure electrical components, materials, and equipment from approved suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost savings
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and evaluate their performance
• Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and optimize purchasing strategies
• Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness
• Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new product developments in the electrical industry
• Process purchase requisitions and maintain accurate procurement records

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Buyer, preferably in an electrical or manufacturing environment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
