Job Summary:

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our clients team as a Warehouse Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective processes, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and overall success.

Responsibilities:

• Full leadership, management, and cost control of a shift to deliver the business results
• Full stock control and always ensuring stock integrity
• Correct operation and ensuring maintenance done and cover working of all MHE
• Correct loading and off-loading, of all vehicles
• Correct operation and Maintenance of Docks, and Freezer equipment (racks and mobile racking)
• Correct adherence to all Safety standards and operating procedures
• Managing of all staff (leave, absenteeism etc.) and allocating of staff to complete workload
• Management of casual staff.
• Communication with internal and external clients
• Control of pallet movement

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a leadership role and in Cold Storage
• Grade 12 as minimum requirement, with math and science as subjects passed
• Relevant qualification at NQF 5 Level (Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management)
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and best practices
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with inventory management and optimization
• At least 5 years’ warehouse experience and distribution experience at managerial level
• Cold chain management experience in the FMCG sector is not negotiable
• Required to work shifts and rostered weekends
• Computer Literacy MS (Word / Excel/PowerPoint

Salary:
Salary for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
