Structural Technologist/Designer – Consulting Industry Full Time NEW

RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Structural Technologist / Structural Designer to join its Pretoria office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and develop structural designs, models and detailed construction documentation.
• Coordinate structural designs with engineers, architects and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with project requirements, applicable standards and quality procedures.
• Assist with the review and coordination of project documentation throughout the design process.
• Provide technical support during project planning and execution.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects within agreed timelines and budgets.

Requirements:

• BTech in Civil/Structural Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in structural engineering design within a consulting engineering environment.
• Solid knowledge of structural design principles and detailing for a range of building projects.
• Proficiency in relevant structural design and drafting software.
• Ability to produce accurate technical drawings, models and construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of applicable South African codes and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
