RPO Recruitment’s client, A top Logistics company based in Paarl, is looking to expand their team with a position in Specialist Customs. This would include handle the customs clearance process, preparing and maintaining all customs-related documents and ensuring compliance with all South African and international trade laws.
Requirements:
A diploma or degree in logistics, international trade, supply chain management, or a related
field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearing or freight forwarding within South Africa.
In-depth knowledge of South African customs regulations, SARS requirements, and the
Harmonized System (HS) tariff classifications. Familiarity with import/export procedures and
international trade compliance.
Proficient in customs clearing systems and customs declaration software.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel for reporting and documentation.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships with related
stakeholders.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, especially in a high-pressure environment.
