Shift Maintenance Technician Full Time

RPO Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and skilled Shift Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team in Roodepoort. As a Shift Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment during your shift. Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong technical skills, and have the ability to work independently. Your role will be vital in minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Assist in conducting preventive maintenance programs
• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
