Senior Actuarial Analyst – Financial Services Industry – R1.2Mil – R850K Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client is a leading Financial Services Company focused on providing asset management, wealth management and insurance solutions to their clients. They are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their team in Waterfall, Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and drive the implementation of new products, with a strong focus on investment and wealth related products. Examples include driving the offshore investment capability and enabling suitable underlying investment options across product wrappers
• Ensure that the product pricing remains competitive and profitable across the business. This will involve performing fee reviews and providing technical input into the charging structures for new business initiatives
• Take responsibility for product maintenance activities. This will include platform fund maintenance (i.e. ensuring appropriate and suitably balanced range of funds on the platform), maintaining technical product documents, and providing technical input into the platform client interfaces and reports
• The product development, implementation and maintenance activities apply to across the company
• Strengthening the company’s value proposition, by providing product related input into the marketing strategy, technical support to the sales team, and technical input into the platform client interfaces and reports
• Engage with all relevant stakeholders across the Wealth business on a continuous basis to ensure alignment and stakeholder buy-in
• Manage junior actuarial and technical resources

 
Requirements:

• Nearly or newly qualified actuary
• 5 to 10 years relevant experience in related role
• Self-management skills
• Communication skills (verbal & written)
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Time management skills
• Proactive and able to run on own with tasks
• Attention to detail
• South African citizen
