A well-established financial services company is seeking a qualified Life Insurance Broker to join their team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of life insurance products, relevant regulatory requirements, and a passion for building lasting client relationships. This role offers the opportunity to focus on new business development while managing an existing client portfolio, with dedicated administrative support and inbound sales appointments provided.
Responsibilities:
• Sell life insurance policies and achieve monthly new business targets.
• Manage and service an existing portfolio of clients through regular reviews and policy maintenance.
• Meet with prospective clients through appointments generated by the inbound call centre.
• Provide professional financial advice tailored to clients’ insurance needs.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Oversee and work closely with the administrative assistant to ensure efficient processing of quotations and servicing requests.
• Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.
Requirements:
• Minimum NQF 4 qualification in a relevant financial field (minimum 120 credits).
• Candidates currently completing their qualification will also be considered, provided they remain within their DOFA requirements.
• RE5 qualification (non-negotiable).
• Personal and Commercial Class of Business accreditation (required for representatives registered after 2017).
• Sound knowledge of FAIS, FICA, and POPIA legislation.
• Previous experience in life insurance sales or financial advisory services is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and client service skills.
• Professional, self-motivated, and target-driven.
