Seismic Technician – Mining Industry – R750K – R550K Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client in the Mining Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Seismic Technician to join their team in Limpopo.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and maintaining seismic monitoring system.
• Installation of monitoring instrument as per project schedule.
• Provide on-the-job training on seismic rating to underground personnel.
• Ensuring all relevant procedures are maintained and updated.
• Commissioning of the monitoring instruments.
• Processing of seismic data, producing high quality seismic activity plans across sections for reporting and presentations.
• Utilizing database information and software tools to manipulate and analyse data related to seismic activity.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Mining Engineering/Geology
• Strata Control Certificate
• 5 years’ experience in seismic data processing
• 4 years’ seismic installation and instrumentation experience
