Purchasing Coordinator – Cape Town Full Time

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our client’s dynamic team in Ottery, Cape Town. Responsibilities

• Process and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and accurate order fulfilment
• Track and follow up on outstanding orders and delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory
• Prepare documentation, reports, and proposals to support procurement decisions
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving procurement processes
• Ensure data accuracy in raw material specifications, purchase orders, and records
• Support the supply chain team with administrative tasks and coordination as required

Requirements

• A Matric certificate is essential
• A certificate or diploma in Business Administration is highly advantageous
• 3–5 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain administration is essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required
• Experience working with Syspro or similar ERP systems is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
• A proactive approach with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
