SHE Officer Full Time

RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled SHE Officer to join our client’s team in Port Elizabeth. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on the responsibility of ensuring workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental (SHE) policies in compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Deliver SHE training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.
• Maintain accurate records of SHE incidents, inspections, and compliance reports.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all required permits and certifications are up to date.
• Promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement in SHE performance.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a SHE Officer role, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of SHE legislation, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards.
