Professional Quantity Surveyor – PQS Consulting Industry Full Time

Our client, a well-established professional consulting firm in Johannesburg, specialising in construction cost management and quantity surveying, is seeking a seasoned Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) to lead and manage high-value projects (R50 million+). This role includes overseeing internal project teams, mentoring junior staff, and acting as Principal Agent on complex building and engineering contracts (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC).

Requirements:

• BSc Hons degree in Quantity Surveying
• Registered PrQS with SACQSP
• 10+ years post-registration experience
• Strong background in both building and engineering projects
• Experience in a consulting environment essential
• ASAQS membership preferred
• Lead full project lifecycle from inception to close-out
• Drive value engineering and cost control innovations
• Chair consultant and contractor meetings
• Use industry-standard software (QsPlus, WinQS, Dimension X)
• Business development involvement
