Professional Civil Engineer – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, leading and well-established civil engineering consulting firm based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and well qualified Professional Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion
• Support clients with project planning, funding, and approvals
• Develop and review civil designs, drawings, and technical reports
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards
• Supervise design, drafting, and detailing teams
• Conduct and participate in design reviews and technical audits
• Prepare budgets, monitor project finances, and control man-hours
• Oversee contract documentation, specifications, and construction administration
• Manage project documentation, reporting, and archiving
• Engage in business development, tendering, and client relations
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff
• Assist with staff resource planning and training programs
• Perform additional duties as required by management

Requirements:

• BSc/BEng/BTech degree in Civil Engineering
• Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA
• Minimum 8-12 years’ experience in the civil engineering field
• Experience in the planning, design, and contract administration of roads, sewerage systems, water systems, and stormwater systems
• Experience in Contract Administration
• Ability to lead and oversee Technicians, Draughting personnel and Engineers
• Proficiency in Civil Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
