Mechanical Building Services Engineer/Technologist – Consulting Industry Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client, a leading consulting engineering firm based in Centurion is seeking to appoint a skilled and motivated Mechanical Building Services Engineer / Technologist to join their team. The successful candidate will be involved in the full lifecycle of building services projects across a range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning, design, and development of HVAC and Wet Services systems
• Conducting condition assessments and technical audits of existing building services
• Preparing cost estimates, specifications, and tender documentation
• Managing tender processes and providing technical support during procurement
• Overseeing and managing projects through all stages from concept to completion
• Designing systems for a variety of building types, including offices, retail centres, hospitals, hotels, gyms, data centres, commercial developments, and public infrastructure
• Liaising with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary project teams
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and best engineering practices

Requirements:

• BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Technologist (preferred)
• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical building services consulting engineering
• Proven experience in HVAC and Wet Services design within the built environment
• Strong technical ability in design, documentation, and project delivery
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software will be advantageous
• Strong communication and project coordination skills
