Production Supervisor Full Time

Our client is looking for a professional and highly-skilled Production Supervisor to join their team.

JOB SUMMARY

• To ensure the correct and safe operation of all machines and equipment as per prescribed SPM and to produce the right goods of the right quality in the right quantities at the right time and with minimum cost.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS

• Must be able to give instructions and guidance to subordinates
• Must have knowledge of the Main Agreement
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of the JDE System
• Knowledge of Stock Count
• Knowledge of KANBAN will be advantageous.
• Stays in Johannesburg or surrounding areas
• Identify all issues and provide continuous support to all members according to operating standards on an everyday basis.
• Supervise the effective working of production personnel and prepare effective production schedules and ensure compliance with all company policies.
• Administer all work according to QRQC principles and recommend strategies to improve processes.
• Maintain records of all data attendance and provide effective training to all staff members.
• Coordinate with equipment and processes teams, ensure compliance with all protocols, and maintain product quality.
• Manage and prioritize all production processes and implement all production plans
• Ensure compliance with all policies to achieve all production objectives and provide appropriate feedback to all employees.
• Develop and maintain effective relations with all company employees at various levels of the organization.
• Prepare necessary paperwork, administer all invoices, and maintain records of all documents.
• Maintain and provide support to all 5-S programs and prepare a training program for employees.
• Ensure compliance with workplace policies according to safety objectives.
• The employees and management of BIC South Africa have agreed upon the targets for each job. These targets must be achieved and maintained at all times.
• Maintain 85% productivity/efficiency for the section
• A minimum of 2(two) years’ experience in mass production environment
• Highest standard in housekeeping must be maintained at all times
• All operational machinery must be kept in a safe, clean and tidy condition
• The highest standards of quality must be maintained on all produced goods
• All duties will be performed in accordance with the prescribed S.P.M (STD Production Method)
• Late coming into the workplace will not be accepted. If absent, for any reason production Foreman must be informed or the production Manager on time.
• Ensure that PPE issued by the company is worn at all times while on duty and well maintained
• It may be necessary to perform other duties in other areas when the need arises
• Be able to work 3 shifts system rotating. Morning, Afternoon and Night shift
• At each workstation in pen assembly a production schedule/action log must be properly filled out by the machine operator and submitted to the supervisor at the end of the shift to working out the target.
• If and when problems occur, they must be reported immediately to the supervisor, Foreman
• All traceability labels must be attached to all production and must be checked to see that they are correct for the job and affixed properly to the product
• Safety and housekeeping prevent and minimize hazards. Ensure that the area around machines and equipment is kept clean and tidy at all times if this requirement is not met, a report must be made to the Production Foreman and or the safety representative for the area.

• NQF4
