Millwright Fmcg Full Time

Through your mechanical and electrical expertise, the Millwright will repair and ensure improvements across the site. To improve plant availabilities and equipment efficiencies through a high standard of engineering practices when executing maintenance tasks/activities. To plan and execute scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance for daily activities, and planned shutdowns. Ensure scope of work and responsibilities are carried out in line with company procedures and policies as well as ISO 9001, 1400 systems. To ensure a high standard of housekeeping & safety. Responsibilities

• Execute daily routine inspections of designated plant areas and tools/equipment and reporting of findings.
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities ensuring equipment, machinery, and plant production is functioning correctly.
• Ensuring a high level of housekeeping on the plant and equipment before, during, and after maintenance tasks
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out timeously, ensuring timeous close out and feedback of all tasks.
• Supporting, suggesting, and actively being involved with continuous improvement suggestions/ideas.
• Maintain good relations with all team members: engineering and production personnel as well as external service providers, contractors, and management.
• Support peers and team members in daily activities, problem-solving, and tasks.
• Provide support to team members in achieving zero infringements of safety regulations
• Committed and disciplined to follow all company procedures/policies.

Additional Information

• Matric or NQF level 4 preferred
• Must be trade tested/qualified as a Millwright
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial production experience preferred.
• Other: Ability to work 12-hour shifts. The company offers market-related salaries with benefits (medical, retirement plans, incentive plans). The role will report to the Maintenance Manager
