Mechanical & Fire Engineer – Building Services- Consulting Industry Full Time

We are representing a leading client in the Building Services sector who is seeking a Mechanical & Fire Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead Mechanical and Fire Engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with South African standards and driving innovative, rational design solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or BSc).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Building Services industry.
• Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer with ESCA, or eligible for registration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit experience is advantageous.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Lead mechanical building services across all project stages: conceptualization, design, implementation, and completion.
• Take ownership of projects, demonstrating autonomy and accountability in execution.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal results.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations (SANS Codes) and implement Rational Design principles.
• Apply Fire Engineering expertise to enhance safety and design outcomes.
• Prepare detailed specifications, bills of quantities, and technical documentation for mechanical scopes.
• Generate technical reports to communicate project progress, insights, and recommendations.
