Installation Electrician Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for an Installation Electrician (3-Phase) to join their team in Blackheath, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience in the solar industry, a hands-on approach to electrical work, and be responsible for conducting inspections, issuing Certificates of Compliance (COCs), and ensuring installations meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on inspections of solar electrical installations and issue COCs upon compliance.
• Identify and address electrical issues on-site, providing immediate fixes where possible.
• Provide feedback to the Project Manager on site issues and suggest solutions.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to schedule return visits for unresolved issues requiring additional work.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of inspections and work performed.
• Assist installation teams with troubleshooting and guidance where necessary.

Requirements:

• Valid Wireman’s License.
• Registered as an Electrical Contractor with the Department of Labour.
• Experience working with solar PV systems and 3-phase electrical installations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
