Position: Junior Site Agent
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Site Agent in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering or construction management, with a keen interest in site management and project coordination.
Responsibilities:
– Assisting the Site Agent in overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
– Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met
– Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify any potential issues
– Maintaining accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and progress photos
– Providing support in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
– Assisting with the procurement of materials and equipment as needed
– Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site
Requirements:
– Degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
– Strong organizational and communication skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
– Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required
– Valid driver’s license and own transportation
