Maintenance Foreman – Food Production Full Time

RPO Recruitment is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Foreman to join our client’s food production team. As a Maintenance Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained to achieve optimum productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and overseeing their work
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns and production downtime
• Perform regular inspections and assessments of equipment to identify potential issues or areas that require maintenance
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and activities with production and operations teams
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history
• Collaborate with procurement to source and purchase replacement parts and equipment as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all maintenance activities

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical)
• Proven experience as a maintenance foreman or similar role
• Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and procedures
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in maintenance management software
• Experience in the food production industry is preferred
