Production Planner Full Time

The client is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-oriented Production Planner with an accurate and methodical approach to work, to join their dynamic team based in Cape Town

The incumbent will oversee aspects of the supply chain, focusing on the planning and procurement of products and the production schedule. He/she will also ensure the flow of goods according to costing models and best practices, from start to final approved products of the highest standard.

Key Focus Areas

• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating the production of the company’s products
• Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
• Scheduling shifts and workers to provide the proper coverage
• Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
• Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
• Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
• Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
• Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes
• Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, logistics, and sales staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all raw materials meet specifications, are cost-efficient and the supply is consistent

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree or diploma tertiary qualification in production/supply chain.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a Planning capacity or similar roles within a manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in an ERP/MPR-driven environment
• Planning Knowledge of principles, methods, and planning tools for planning resources, machine capacity, and system requirements inclusive of related cost and benefits
• Injection Moulding knowledge would be advantageous

Remuneration

• Basic Salary between R22K and R26K  P/M
