Description
RPO Recruitment is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Foreman to join our client’s food production team. As a Maintenance Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained to achieve optimum productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and overseeing their work
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns and production downtime
- Perform regular inspections and assessments of equipment to identify potential issues or areas that require maintenance
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and activities with production and operations teams
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history
- Collaborate with procurement to source and purchase replacement parts and equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all maintenance activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical)
- Proven experience as a maintenance foreman or similar role
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in maintenance management software
- Experience in the food production industry is preferred
