RPO Recruitment’s client is seeking a driven and innovative Junior R&D Developer to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food manufacturing and have a strong interest in research and development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on product development projects and contribute to the growth of our company.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the research and development of new food products
• Conduct experiments and trials to test products and processes
• Analyze data and results to make recommendations for improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new technologies
• Assist in the formulation of new recipes and product concepts
• Contribute to the innovation and improvement of existing products
• Help maintain accurate records and documentation for R&D projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing or research and development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software
• Passion for innovation and creativity in product development
