Food Technologist Full Time

RPO Recruitment’s client is looking for a Food Technologist to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have experience in product development, particularly in spice blends and batch packs for the food industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine spice blends and batch packs for various food products.
• Create ingredient listings in compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct product costing and ensure alignment with labeling legislation.
• Perform sensory evaluations to assess product quality.
• Assist in investigating customer complaints and implementing solutions.
• Draft product specifications for new developments.

Requirements:

• N.D. or B.Tech. in Food Technology.
• Experience in product development, specifically in spice formulations.
• Strong knowledge of labeling legislation and ingredient regulations.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Technical proficiency in food science and product formulation.
